Ubuntu 7 + kernel 2.6.20: bug!

Archive , Operating Systems April 26th. 2007, 11:26 pmYesterday I downloaded the latest release of the popular Ubuntu 7 and I installed it on my forklift at home (Athlon XP motherboard with VIA chipset) and everything went smoothly. I could appreciate the improvements made to this - already high - binary distribution (even if the gentoo just do not forget ..). However, this morning I brought with me in the office of the Ubuntu 7.04 CD and tried to install on the forklift at work (P4 1.6 GHz motherboard with Intel chipset) and ... wham! I can not even get to the desktop that everything hangs by a thin error:
/bin/sh/: can't access tty; job control turned off.
To serve the various tests are nothing with the passage of esoteric parameters to boot. It seems that this is a bug already known to comunitàdegli developers, as can be seen from this link:
