Asterisk CTI: first test run on Linux and Mono

ottobre 20th. News October 20th. 2007, 10:14 pm

Now they are almost next to the first release of Asterisk CTI , a set of client / server application for the integration of Asterisk with desktop applications.

From the first tests, the CTI server - called AstCTIServer.exe - seems to run on the Mono runtime without any difficulty. My tests were conducted on the following configuration:

  1. Operating System GNU / Linux
  2. Gentoo distribution
  3. Kernel 2.6.22-gentoo-r8
  4. Mono runtime version 1.2.4
  5. Asterisk 1.4.13
  6. MySQL version 5.0.44

The test platform is represented by a Toshiba Satellite 1900 with a Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz and 512MB ram.

The next test will be designed to test the system with a bit of load.

Prior to the release to the open source community, you must complete:

  • Technical Documentation
  • Examples of the operation
  • Tarball of the server code
  • Installer for the client software
