Asterisk CTI Client and Originate

ottobre 22nd. News October 22nd. 2007, 11:34 pm

Before reaching the first release of Asterisk CTI, I'm working on the ability to make outbound calls from the client AstCTIClient. The calls will be made using the API Originate AMI (Asterisk Manager Interface).

In particular, the features I'm working on include:

a) Ability to invoke the application and call directly dial a phone number (without service). Eg
Action: Originate
Application: Dial
Channel: SIP/300
Parameters: SIP/301
Timeout: 30000
Context: simple-outbound

b) Ability to generate a call using just an outbound service. Eg
Action: Originate
Context: outbound-service
Channel: SIP/300
Timeout: 30000
Exten: 300
Priority: 1

In this second case the call is originated by asterisk, which - before the join of the two channels - will ensure that the extension is available to the caller response.

See you soon!
